Matekula Country Retreat

Ingala Lodge was constructed about six years ago and is on the eastern side of the valley which means it enjoys superb views looking up and across the valley. It is set back from the main gravel road with lawn around the house and has a feeling of great space and privacy. The main view is across the valley to one of the larger dams with mountains on the opposite side.

Ingala is a very comfortable house with four double bedrooms (sleeps eight) and four bathrooms en suite, an open plan sitting room and dining area next to a well equipped kitchen. There are fires in the sitting room and bedrooms, the bathrooms are well appointed and modern and the whole house is decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The furniture in the living rooms and bedrooms is excellent together with the beds and linen and will ensure that your stay will be as relaxing and as comfortable as it can be.

The kitchen is extremely well built and equipped too. Two fridges with freezers ensure you will always have enough cool space for your food, even if you are staying for the whole week, a microwave, a gas hob and electric oven, lots of shelf space and well laid out surfaces mean that cooking and preparing meals is a pleasure. The sitting and dining rooms are next to and open into the kitchen so when in the kitchen one is still part of the party. There is a covered verandah looking out over the lawns and on down and across the valley. This house is excellent for entertaining. There is also a Webber kettle braai for guests use.
